In the third edition of the Victoria Espinosa Awards in Puerto Rico in 2024, Nydia Resto was honored with the award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in the micro-theater platform Teatro en 15. During that season, she portrayed Kathy Selden in the classic musical Singin’ in the Rain. Her dedication to refining her craft through the demanding combination of singing, acting, and dancing across more than 60 performances in a single month led to both her nomination and eventual win, marking an important milestone in her artistic career.
